Monthly Recap and Book of the Month

I can’t believe April is already over. I’ve been reading at an insatiable rate recently — a lot of good books and some bad books, but 90 percent of the time I have a book in my hand.

I have read 25 out of 100 books. (Read 6 books this month.) I’m behind!! How can that be?

The Chosen by J.R. Ward

I’m loving it, but this has to be my least favorite cover of hers. It’s giving me an early 80s vibe.

What I’m Watching

Girlboss-Poster-700x393

I watched the first season on Netflix. It was hilarious but I found myself cringing more so than laughing.

What I’m writing

I’m doing a major edit on my first WIP. It’s been beyond frustrating. I feel like I’m rewriting the entire novel, but at least I know it’ll be better in the end. I’m still blown away at how difficult it is to write a good story. It’s one thing to get the words down, it’s another to make it all make sense and be entertaining.

What else?

I’m planning on going to Utopiacon in Nashville in June. I’ve been once before a few years ago and I’m excited to go again, only this time I’ll be going as an aspiring novelist not just a blogger. Are you going? If so, let me know! I’d love to meet up and hang out.

  1. Looks like you’ve had a great month! I’ve been eyeing By Your Side for a while and I hope I can get around to reading it this summer! And I hope you enjoy Daughter of the Pirate King, I’ve heard such amazing things about it 🙂
