Releases and Recommendations

It’s Tuesday! The amazing day books are released to the world! This week I’m anticipating the release of Requiem by Lauren Oliver on Tuesday, March 5, 2013.

9593913Now an active member of the resistance, Lena has been transformed. The nascent rebellion that was under way in Pandemonium has ignited into an all-out revolution in Requiem, and Lena is at the center of the fight.

After rescuing Julian from a death sentence, Lena and her friends fled to the Wilds. But the Wilds are no longer a safe haven—pockets of rebellion have opened throughout the country, and the government cannot deny the existence of Invalids. Regulators now infiltrate the borderlands to stamp out the rebels, and as Lena navigates the increasingly dangerous terrain, her best friend, Hana, lives a safe, loveless life in Portland as the fiancée of the young mayor. Requiem is told from both Lena’s and Hana’s points of view. The two girls live side by side in a world that divides them until, at last, their stories converge.

I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS! Book 1, Delirium and Book 2 Pandemonium were AMAZING. The ending of book 2 was such a shocker, I thought I was having a heart attack. Lauren Oliver is queen of Dystopian Young Adult as far as I’m concerned. If you liked Hunger Games, Twilight etc. you’ll love this series. I loved Hana in book 1 and missed her in book 2 so I’m glad to see she’s back in the action. I seriously can’t wait to see how Oliver plays this out. Lena has a HUGE decision to make and I can’t even fathom making the decision myself. My heart is wrenched in two. I can’t pick teams, I just can’t. This is a MUST READ people. If you haven’t started this series already you should!
